How often is best to follow up? Blog by Jo James AmberLife

How often is best to follow up?

One of the main topics of concern from many business owners is about following up. “How often is best to follow up?” they ask.

Is it annoying people if you follow up more than once?

No! In fact, following up is absolutely key to your sales cycle and the development of your relationships with your prospects and clients.

Remembering that sales is all about relationships, it’s like the dating part, it’s good to get to know each other first!

This may tempt you to do it more often 😉

Research* has shown that only about 50% of people even follow up once. 25% follow up twice. 12% three times.

As a business owner its your job to remind them you’re there, not their job to remember to call you!

So if you want to stand out from the crowd, be the one that does follow up. You will benefit from it. You will be the one that’s doing things differently, to get the results you want 🙂

And.. ONLY 2% of sales are made on the second contact. 5% are made on the third. 10% are made on the 4th contact and … 80% of Sales are made on the 5th to 12th contact. (*McGraw Hill)

Your Action Point from this blog is to Follow up with 3 clients today that you’ve been thinking about for a while. Surprise them. And you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised yourself 🙂

To your success and happiness, go on, follow up today, and the results will follow.
