Is Business Blooming?

Gardening

It’s the end of March, the days have got longer, summer is definitely on its way. It looked like you had a sunny weekend in London? It was pouring with rain here in Portugal! Good for the plants, though!

We have green fields around us, and pretty yellow, purple and red wild flowers growing.  The fig trees have tiny little figs on them, about 1 cm, but I didn’t see any blossom. I must find out about that!

I hope your gardens are springing to life with dancing daffodils and rose buds in sight.  This is why I liken a ‘sales cycle’ to a garden. You sow seeds with your networking and marketing, gaining leads that then need watering and nurturing before they spring into a beautiful colourful garden. A garden of happy clients.

Your marketing and sales activity should give you a consistent sprouting of leads. This will stop peaks and troughs in client work, revenue and income.

So, looking after your garden is essential!

As we’re now in the last week of Quarter 1, it’s a good time to look at what you’ve sown over the winter. What’s sprouted?

What new shoots have you seen in your business?

Take a look at your social media, networking and marketing activities to see what gave you the most leads, the best leads, and what type of leads they were.

Were they from your ideal target market?  If so, brilliant, you’re sending out the right messages and clients are drawn towards you. Brilliant.

If they’re not quite right, look at the copy on your website.  Does it still reflect and attract your ideal clients?  Has your ideal client changed since you last wrote your services page?

Have you updated your Testimonial Page with your latest clients?

Check your Call to Action Buttons. Do you need to change this to get more sign ups, enquiries, and the right kind of leads?
