Last Friday afternoon as I was clearing up, I could hear my husband in the other room while he was on the phone to one of his prospective customers. He sounded very relaxed during his sales conversation, and then he used a very powerful pre-close technique.

I loved it and I thought I’d share this powerful pre-close with you today, to help you win more business this month. Would you like that?

It’s a beautiful thing!

Do you find at the moment you’re talking to lots of prospects but they’re not saying yes?

Are they telling you that they need to think about it some more?

Now this could be in part due to the EU Referendum. I’ve read many articles recently saying the City is seeing customers prolonging their decisions.

I’ve heard that it’s happening to small businesses too. Especially from those who are working with corporate clients.

So today, I’d like to introduce you to a beautiful closing statement I heard my husband ask his prospect. It worked a treat!

I love listening to my husband on the phone to his customers. His years of consultative sales has certainly taught me a thing or two!

He builds rapport with his customers with ease. Last Friday was a joy, as I heard him explain his business services clearly, answering questions along the way, always making his answers relevant to the customer he was talking to.

He enquired as to what budget his customer had, and advised how his Tier 2 pricing (of 3 Tiers) would best suit him to get started.

All seemed to be going well and I could sense the conversation was coming to an end, and I was listening intently to how he would finish it and waited for his close.

Then I heard it…

“Only you know the true cost to your business if you don’t go ahead.”

Then there was silence. He was waiting for the prospect to speak first.

I poked my head into the room where he was and saw his gorgeous smile widen, as his customer had just answered him, “we would definitely like to work with you and yes, I can see what would happen if we don’t”.

Boom! #result

What a beautiful pre-close…”Only you know the true cost to your business if you don’t go ahead
