Record Your Progress

As you get caught up in the day-to-day details of running your businesses, remember to record your progress along the way. Why? It’s a great way to give yourself a boost on a day you need it, just look back at what you have achieved, rather than what you haven’t.  Yet!

From doing the #22Day Press Up Challenge, I sure found a great way to monitor what works and what didn’t! Especially working out what time was best to do them (definitely not 10.30pm!) and I was totally surprised in being able to do 22 full press ups by Day 18. Whoop!

As you’re probably aware, I had to record my press-ups every day and post the video on facebook. It was a huge learning for me. I could see the days I struggled more, but the  beauty in videoing it, I could see my progress too.

Yes, I have tracking sheets that I share with my clients for their sales progress, which works very well, so they can monitor their progress with their prospects, which leads to more conversations and more business.

And I wanted to share how much progress you can see if you video yourself.

Today I’d like to invite you to have a look at what you want to achieve this week. And rather than writing down your progress each day, video it!

Make a short video, only a minute or so long, and tell yourself what you did and how you felt doing it. You don’t have to post it, but you’ll have a story of your own progress to review, assess what’s working and what isn’t, and see your results.

Plus, you’ll get more comfortable in front of the camera. So if you’re looking to create video content, this will be a great exercise to start with.

You can include:

1. What’s the outcome you want? Why are you doing it? It’s always good to connect with your ‘why’. Set your intention.
2. What did you achieve that day? What steps did you take?
3. What did you find tough, or struggled with?
4. What will you do tomorrow to help you?

As the days and videos stack up, you’ll be able to see your progress yourself, and I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised at your results.

You’ll notice your sweet spot, get into your groove, and the results will follow 🙂
