Dreams can come true! As I will appreciate at 4.30pm today.

Running your own business makes it tricky to take holiday sometimes, I get it. From running my own businesses for 15 years, it’s so easy to be pulled by other engagements and sometimes holidays get passed by to commit to so much work .
But we need time to rest and relax with our families. To recharge our batteries and come back relaxed with a renewed focus and be raring to go again!

What will you do today to recharge your batteries?

This time last year, while on holiday with my husband we made a very important life-changing decision. And now I’m happy to tell you, we’re a massive step closer to it now being a reality.

For the past few years, we have talked about moving to Portugal. As we holiday here regularly and love the pace of life, the people, the food, sun and beautiful natural landscape.

Maybe we’ll move here one day, we said. When we’re older!

Are you saying you’ll wait to do something when you’re older?

Then last year, as we both turned 50, we asked each other “Why are we waiting until we’re older to do what we dream of? What are we waiting for? I wonder if we could do it now?

We were spurred on by one of my most powerful coaching questions I know:

“Why wait?”

So over dinner that evening, we worked out our position. Our businesses were in great shape and our prospects looked good for the future to build on and expand further. We can easily commute to London to run our businesses there, and the tech is great in Portugal to continue our work online – there’s wifi everywhere, even in the smallest of road-side cafés. Oh, we sure felt it was the right time. Do it now, while we can.

Let’s take MASSIVE action on our long-held dream.

We didn’t have all the answers at the beginning, and that’s ok.

It’s by doing things you learn so much anyway.

It’s taken us a year to realise our dreams. With the ups and downs of selling our house in the UK now behind us, and the thrill of finding our new home a couple of months ago, I’m so excited – at 4.30pm this afternoon, we will be with our lawyer, signing the deeds to our new home, here in Galé, in the middle of the Algarve.

Our new life-style begins today. Love it that it’s happening on a Monday!!

As well as running VIP Mastermind Groups and VIP business coaching in London, I dream of running Business Retreats in Portugal one day too. I just need to settle in first and do some more research to find a gorgeous venue for you.
